Victoria’s Secret. This sh*t is about to get controversial.
Yes, the big VS just aired their annual fashion show and, boy, was it beautiful. I am sure all of you were glued to your television as their angel wings graced the glittery runway. I am also sure that the ladies out their drooled when the oh-so-adorable Adam Levine escorted his long legged sexy Angel. Lastly, I am POSITIVE that everyone was disappointed that they censored out all the models tooshies…like why? Just show me the booty!
BUT if I see one more status about how no one is going to eat after watching it, or how much he or she hate themselves, I am going to give you a double jab uppercut right to the kissa. The Angels ARE very beautiful, yet some of them may or may not starve themselves for that figure that you see…don’t let their bodies discourage you. I will most certainly admit that their bods make me want to hump them a little, but I will also state that I truly watch to enjoy all of the designs and pieces they model (don’t roll your eyes at me). If things like this are going to make you discouraged then stop watching it. And if you already did watch it, embrace those who WORK for their figure and let the healthy way to reach your goals motivate you.
I write about fashion in fitness because fashion makes me feel good and it makes many feel good when they do it right. It kills me to read and hear how negative people are towards themselves, I hate it. That is why my classes are based around YOU because YOU control how you look and feel. If you think you suck, then who is going to want to suck on you ;* ….yeah that’s right, NO ONE. So embrace your body and don’t be afraid of it. Get naked in the mirror and jump up and down, go streaking through campus, let your ass jiggle, and love yourself while playing GaGa’s Born This Way. Life isn’t about having the perfect body and it isn’t about hating who you are, it is about STAYING HEALTHY and STAYING HAPPY (thanks rachy). Use clothing to express yourself and add to how great you really are. And if fashion isn’t the outlet in which helps you express yourself, search for it. To conclude my preaching, don’t let those foolish people who tell you that you’re crazy make you back down, as I always say in class…fight for it.
Erose here with Eliza’s Secret…screw Victoria and her Angel wings, you can fly on your own.
Great Article Eliza! I love the message you are conveying here. I read somthing interesting in TIME magazine that I wanted to bring to your readers’ attention..
This is straight out of a TIME magazine article:
‘No liquids at all, so you dry out.’
Adriana Lima, on how she prepared for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Nine days before the event, she shifted to a liquid diet; then 12 hours before the show, she stopped drinking altogether. We’re glad Lima has a successful modeling career, because she’d make a pretty bad nutritionist.
Eat food. Avoid Liquid diets. Stay HEALTHY, Stay Happy.
