My summer days are barely spent in the summer sun; I’m constantly working, interning, working, interning, and whenever I get a moment, I love to hit the gym.
When I am going to the Rec Center at school I have a chance to breathe, pick what shirt I want to cut up, and which sneaks I want to throw on. This summer, it is always a last-minute decision. There is no time for dilly dallying, but let’s be real…I am not wearing something heinous to the gym and you probably aren’t either.
Don’t give me that, “Oh please, who has to look good for the gym?” Bologna. Now, I’m not saying you should go in your prom dress (that you probably think is ugly now anyways), I’m just saying you want to feel comfortable and good. A raggedy pair of Soffe shorts may not cut it anymore, so mature your workout wardrobe and check out this website, Real Simple. It gives a little collection of the most simple, yet valuable work out attire, which is SO important to have for busy bees such as yourself.
It isn’t icky and it isn’t fabulous, it is just SIMPLE…and that is the whole point. I am one for the glitz and the crazy ensembles, but in “on-the-go” times, I like to keep it crisp, clean, and cute. Like TLC says, “Don’t go chasin’ waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to.” Take a look at the basics and stick to them! The featured workout attire on the website, Real Simple, are every day items that you WILL wear. With out these, your workout wardrobe is missing a piece.
Let’s put it this way… not owning a great go-to pair of yoga pants is basically like not having pizza from Antonio’s on a Saturday night, it is UNHEARD OF and ILLEGAL!
Eliza Rose here, telling you to keep it simple when you’re in a rush…and PAlease go to Antonio’s after being a lush!
